Potential for More Fall Ball in Arizona

D-backs Release Spring Training Schedule

The Arizona Diamondbacks have announced their 2009 Spring Training Schedule. The 36 game schedule begins with a cross town rivalry (for the spring anyhow) with the neighboring Colorado Rockies. The team’s Tucson home opener will be against the Chicago White Sox and will be packed with action for the remainder of the Cactus League Spring Training. Read more

D-Backs Winter Meeting Update

Recent media reports claimed that the Winter Baseball Meetings would be pretty quiet for the Diamondbacks, who were not expected to make much of a splash this year. To our surprise there has been some interesting revelations as the team makes moves to fill some gaps and strengthen other roles. For the team, overall, money issues has been a recurring theme for the ball club as they opted not to make any arrangements with the Big Unit to return to Arizona for his next season. Read more
