March 1, 2009 by

teams_laaKansas City Royals starter Gil Meche was roughed up in the first inning allowing four hits and three earned runs while walking one. Angels starter Dustin Mosley had a strong outing pitching two hit-less innings striking out three and walking one. After the Angels  jumped out to a 4-0 lead after two innings, the Royals came back to score one in the fourth and three in the top of the 5th to tie it up. Then the Angels scored one in the bottom of the 5th and 6th to secure the win. Good news from Angels camp today was Kelvim Escobar threw from the mound today, which was his first throwing session since shoulder surgery. The Angels win moved them to 4-1 this spring and kept them undefeated (4-0) at home in Tempe.
