Snyder’s 3-run homer leads 5 run 5th inning

teams_ariThe Arizona Diamondbacks had another offensive explosion today as catcher Chris Snyder busted out of his slump and led a 5-run fifth inning with a 3-run homer off Chicago Cubs pitcher Mitch Atkins. Chad Tracy continued his hot spring reaching base three times including two walks and two RBI’s. Tracy upped his spring batting average to .571. Both starters had strong outings as Dan Haren went two innings striking out two and walking one while allowing no hits. Cubs ace Carlos Zambrano also pitched two hitless innings with one walk and three strikeouts.
