Kinsler leads Rangers to win over Padres

March 5, 2009 by

teams_texTexas Rangers All-Star second baseman Ian Kinsler lead off the game with a double off San Diego Padres pitcher Cha Seung Baek and followed it up with his first homer of the spring. Kinsler finished the game 2-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Rangers center fielder Josh Hamilton has picked up where he left off last year as he went 2-for-3 with an RBI and raised his spring average to .500. Rangers starters Scott Feldman and Kris Benson pitched a scoreless first four innings combining for only one hit and one walk with two strikeouts. The Padres were able to muster a single run in the 6th, 7th and 8th innings, but it was not enough losing to the Rangers 4-3.
