Sox Win Again in Narrow Fashion in Vegas

March 5, 2009 by

Thursday’s game went nine innings as the White Sox beat the Chicago Cubs by one run, yet again. In the afternoon game, the Sox split squad was present as they would never lose hold of the lead. Neither team would hit a home run and the Cubs would make a valiant effort to come back in the bottom of the ninth with no prevail. With a big game from former D-back Josh Kroeger, who drove in all four runs, the Sox win two in Vegas. The Sox will face Australia in World Baseball Classic action on Friday off before they Saturday when they meet the Texas Rangers in Surprise.
