Babe Ruth’s Daughter Attends Weekend Padres Game

March 7, 2009 by

azhb_default_articleFor Baseball fans, there is nothing like the fond recollection of the game’s most well-known player, Babe Ruth. In attendance at today’s Athletics Padres game at the Peoria Sports Complex was Babe Ruth’s daughter Julia Ruth Stevens.

In 1998, Julia Ruth Stevens had George Brim author the book Babe Ruth: A Daughter’s Portrait, and later she teamed up with the same author to publish Babe Ruth: Remembering the Bambino in Stories, Photos and Memorabilia.

Babe Ruth is one of our greatest American sports heroes. The “Sultan of Swat,” the “Great Bambino” will always be known as the greatest player of his era and the defacto home run leader of his time with 714 career home runs. Today was a special day at the Peoria Sports Complex where the crowd was able to acknowledge the daughter of the most famous baseball player of all time. It was a thrill to have Julia Ruth Stevens in attendance at today’s game.
