Texas Beats White Sox in Close Game

March 7, 2009 by

Texas and Chicago would go through four innings of scoreless baseball before the Rangers would take the lead. An RBI single by Josh Hamilton and a solo home run by Dan Murphy would create the Rangers only two runs in the game. Both runs would come in the sixth inning. The Sox would only score once in the game which came off of a sacrifice fly by Ben Broussard in the bottom of the ninth. Texas would win in Surprise by a score of 2 to 1.
