Cubs Make Quick Work of Seattle

The Chicago Cubs would take the lead in the first inning of play by scoring two runs. They would score two more runs by the end of the fourth inning only to have Seattle score in the top of the fifth inning. Chicago would score four more runs in the remainder of the game, for eight total with two home runs as the Mariners would fail to score again. The Cubs’ split squad team would win at home by a score of 8 to 1.
