Manny’s Return Lifts Dodgers

March 14, 2009 by

Manny Ramirez would go one for one, scoring once in the L.A. Dodgers’ victory over the Texas Rangers in Glendale. Rangers’ pitching seemed a little apprehensive about pitching to Manny as he hit in the DH spot which resulted in a couple of walks in his first spring training appearance. Early on in the game, Chad Billingsley would give up two home runs for three runs in what looked to be a brutal beginning of the game. The Dodgers would rally back in the bottom of the first to score a couple runs of their own. L.A. would score once more in the third and again in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game by a score of 4 to 3.
