Angels rack up 18 hits in win agaisnt Padres

teams_laaLos Angeles pitcher John Lackey looked strong going five innings today against the San Diego Padres allowing one run on three hits and striking out one. Lackey was relieved by  closer Brian Fuentes who allowed five runs in just .2 innings. Padres pitcher Josh Geer is hoping to nail down the fifth spot in the rotation, but did not help his cause today allowing six earned runs on nine hits in 3.2 innings. Angels infielder Robb Quinlan outfielder Bradley Coon both went yard for the Angels and both had two hits on the afternoon. angels right fielder Chris Pettit went 3-for-3 with a walk.
