Haren impressive as Arizona wins in extra innings

March 17, 2009 by

teams_ariDan Haren had a strong outing for the Arizona Diamondbacks as they defeated the Chicago White Sox in ten innings. Haren’s 4.2 innings of one run ball allowed the D-backs to stay in the game until they grabbed a 6-1 lead after seven, but would then go on to blow the lead before winning in the bottom of the 10th. Jon Rauch has had some moments this spring where he looked like he did before he was traded to Arizona last year. For the most part though he has looked more like today where he allowed three earned runs on three hits and a walk in one inning pitched. Tony Clark had another multiple hit game today as he went 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored.
