D-backs only manage one hit in loss

March 18, 2009 by

teams_milThe offensive star of the day for the Arizona Diamondbacks was infielder Augie Ojeda who went 1-for-3 with an RBI single in the 6th inning against Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Mark DiFelice. That hit by Ojeda was not only the lone run driven in, but the only hit allowed by the Brewers pitchers. Starter Yovani Gallardo went five hitless innings allowing three walks while striking out three. Arizona starter Doug Davis has been out for two weeks but returned today and pitched 2.1 innings of no hit ball.
