Dodgers Pitcher Belts Homer in Victory Over Colorado

March 19, 2009 by

Not only did Clayton Kershaw of the Dodgers pitch well, he homered in the third inning to help his cause as he earns a Dodger victory. Kershaw pitched for five innings, only allowing one hit while striking out three. The remaining Dodger runs were driven in by some familiar contributors by the names of Juan Pierre and Russell Martin. The Rockies would make contact more times than the Dodgers but would end up leaving eight runners on base.
