Giants score 4 in 8th to beat White Sox

teams_sfSan Francisco Giants starter Matt Cain had his longest outing of the spring today going pitched 5.2 and allowing four earned runs on five hits and three walks. Cain allowed two home runs to Chicago White Sox sluggers Carlos Quentin (first of the spring) and Paul Konerko, who hit his fourth. The Giants bullpen would pitch 3.1 innings of shutout ball in relief of Cain. Sox starter John Danks went five allowing no runs on four hits and recorded five strikeouts. The Giants would get to Aaron Poreda in the eighth inning scoring four runs.
