Giants offense unleases against Padres

March 21, 2009 by

teams_sfThe San Francisco Giants unleashed for nine runs in the bottom of the 6th inning and downed the San Diego Padres by a score of 12-4. The loss dropped the Padres to only 4-14 this spring. San Deigo starter Walter Silva is trying to land a spot as the fifth starter for the Padres and made a good case for himself today as he pitched hour innings and allowed only one run and two hits. Reliever Jae Kuk Ryu on the other hand had some problems today. Ryu only lasted only one-third of an inning but allowed eight hits and eight runs. The Giants spread the wealth around on offense as eight batters had at least one RBI.
