Seattle downs Oakland using 8 pitchers

teams_seaThe Seattle Mariners defeated the Oakland Athletics 8-5 today and used as many pitchers as they scored runs. Starter Garrett Olson, who came over from Baltimore in the off season, only lasted 2.2 innings allowing six hits and two runs while striking out four. Oakland starter Jerome Williams also lasted only two innings allowing two runs on four hits including a first inning homer to outfielder Franklin Gutierrez.
