Day of the Long Ball in Surprise

March 22, 2009 by

The Royals and the Angels went head-to-head today in Surprise as they hit a combined fifteen home runs in a game that totaled 30 runs scored. The Angels’ Matt Brown went 6-for-6 as Jeff Mathis went 3-for-3 in their 18 to 12 victory over the Kansas City Royals. In a very long game for either team’s pitching staff, the Royals would earn hits from everyone in their roster that was allowed playing time. Despite that fact, the Royals would not provide enough power as they are out hit by the Los Angeles Angels.
