Seattle’s Split Squad Comes from Behind to Beat L.A.

March 24, 2009 by

The Dodgers’ Clayton Kershaw had a decent outing as he pitched five and one thirds innings, striking out six. It was not until that inning where things began to unravel. Kershaw would give up two runs before being removed from the game. Although the Dodgers still had command of the game at the time, the quickly saw it slip away to the Seattle Mariners. The Dodgers were graced with Manny Ramirez’s hitting as he goes yard for the first time during Cactus League Spring Training. This would not prove to be enough to battle the Mariners’ offensive onslaught at the end of the game as they score six more runs to give them the lead and the game by a score of 8 to 6.
