March 27, 2009 by

teams_chcChicago Cubs ace Carlos Zambrano was spotted a 7-0 lead after the first inning and that was more enough for the Cubbies to put away their cross town rivals Chicago White Sox. Zambrano went six innings allowing five hits and two runs. Sox starter Clayton Richard only recorded one out in his start and ended the day allowing five hits and two walks with seven earned runs. The Cubs sent 11 batters to the plate in the first and Alfonso Soriano recorded two hits in the innings. The Cubs moved to 17-13 on the spring while the Sox fell to 12-16-1.
