A’s tie Cubs in 9th

azhb_default_articleThe Oakland Athletics scored a run in the bottom of the 9th inning off Jeff Samardzija to tie the Chicago Cubs 8-8. Cubs starter Carlos Zambrano made his last start of the spring and went 3.1 innings and allowed one run on two hits and two walks. A’s starter Dallas Braden also getting ready for the season opener was smacked around in his five innings of work allowing six runs and eight hits. Travis Buck hit his 4th homer of the season for the A’s and Cubs catcher Geovany Soto hit his first two of the spring in the tie.
