The Arizona Diamondbacks are swept by the Dodgers in the two-game series in Los Angeles. The Dodgers would extend their winning-streak at home to 12-0 as they tie the 1911 Detroit Tigers for the best home win streak in the National League. The Dodgers would win the game by a score of 3-1.

The bottom of the first inning would be the demise of the D-backs as two errors would plague the team as the Dodgers would score all of their runs in the first inning of play. The only run scored for the Diamondbacks would come from Max Scherzer as he would cross the plate on a wild pitch in the top of the third.

Scherzer would continue to pitch relatively well as he continues to search for that elusive first big league win. Arizona will be heading south to San Diego to take on the Padres who beat Colorado in extra innings today. The D-backs hoped to gain some momentum as they head down to San Diego but the red hot Dodgers would not let happen.

This next series will be just as critical for the D-backs as the last in that it would enable the team to gain some ground in the National League West standings. The Diamondbacks are currently only one game behind the San Diego Padres.
