The Reds would get a huge jump on the Dodgers as they were able to score four runs in the first and five more in the second. Long Balls Galore as Teams End Even at Eight

The Royals and the Padres would play in Peoria as Headley would put the first run on the board against Zack Greinke with a solo home run. In the following inning, the Royals would be able to tie the game at one a piece. In the bottom of the fourth inning, Greinke would get blasted again as Venable would hit a two-run shot off of the A.L. Cy Young Award winner. Angels Attack From the Plate and Mound to Pound Chicago

Cleveland Runs Away With the Win

The Indians and White Sox would play in Goodyear as the first run would be driven in by the White Sox in the second inning off of a solo home run by center fielder Alex Rios. Cleveland would explode in the same inning with eight runs of their own. Travis Hafner would homer in that half-inning for the Tribe as they would take a commanding lead. Read more

Fielder’s Grand Slam Sets Tone Against Cubs

The Brewers would get off to a great start of the game with four shutout innings pitched by Gallardo. In the bottom of the third inning, the Brewers would score four runs on a grand slam homer by Prince Fielder. The Cubs would not be able to score until the fifth inning when they would score three runs to close in on the Brewers.
