White Sox and Angels End Game One Tied

The Angels hosted the Chicago White Sox at Tempe Diablo Stadium in their first spring training game of the season. Both teams would go scoreless through the first inning of play before the White Sox would score first in the second inning. In the third inning, the Angels would be able to pull even and would pull ahead with the lead after four innings of play. In the fourth inning, catcher Mike Napoli would hit a solo homer off of Lucas Harrell to tie the game.

The White Sox would stage a bit of a comeback in the top of the fifth inning as A.J. Pierzynski delivered with a two-run homerun as they scored three runs in the fifth to give the team the lead. In the bottom of the eighth, the Angels would score two more runs, tying the game at four. The game would end in a tie as the two teams were deadlocked in their first game of spring training action.
