Cleveland routs cross state Reds

March 6, 2010 by

Cleveland Indians starter Justin Masterson threw two shutout innings against the Cincinnati Reds allowing only two hits on the way to a 9-2 win for the Tribe. Indians closer Kerry Wood followed Masterson and made it through a rough outing with no runs. Reds starter Mike Lincoln did not have the same success as his counterpart allowing seven hits and four earned runs in his 1.1 innings of work.

Tribe shortstop Asdrubal Cabrera got the game started in the right direction for Cleveland with a leadoff homer and Cleveland never looked back.
