Kansas City Edges Texas Again

March 6, 2010 by

For the second day in a row, the Kansas City Royals would squeak by the Rangers as they with the game in Surprise by a score of two to one. The Rangers, who had no problems driving in runs in their first appearance against the Royals would continue to have struggles at the plate for the second day in a row. Royals pitching would combine for 11 strikeouts as they keep the Ranger bats quiet.

The Rangers would score their sole run in the bottom of the seventh inning on an RBI by Leury Garcia. Plagued by errors the Rangers would give up one run in the second inning and another in the seventh as they were unable to come back against the stellar pitching. Josh Rupe of the Royals would get the save as he struck out four batters in the Kansas City win.
