Reds shut out Angels
March 10, 2010 by Dean
Cincinnati Red’s starter Mike Lincoln looked much better today against the Los Angeles Angels than he did in his first outing of the season. Lincoln was perfect in his two innings and struck out two Angels in the first inning. Recent ASU star pitcher and Reds 2009 first-found Draft pick Mike Leake showed why he was such a high draft pick as the Sundevil went two scoreless innings on one hit, one walk and one strikeout. Angels starter Trevor Reckling did not show the same control as Lincoln and Leake and walked three while allowing one run in his two innings.
The Reds blew he game open in the eighth when they scored five runs on six hits and a walk off Ryan Brasier. The Reds are now 2-4 on the season while the Angels feel to 2-3-1.
