Seattle Hangs on to Beat the Rangers

March 10, 2010 by AZ Hardball

Seattle would score early and often to enable them to have a little bit of insurance in the game. In the first inning Seattle would score first with one run and another run in the third inning. The first Texas run would come in the bottom of the third but, the Mariners would be able to maintain the lead.

In the fifth inning, the Mariners would score four more runs as they extended their lead over the Rangers. Texas would score two more runs in the eighth but it would not be enough to take the lead. Taking the lead early would pay off for Seattle as they would win the game by a score of six to three.
