Sizemore Delivers a Grand Slam in Win

March 10, 2010 by

The Padres would visit Goodyear, Arizona as they would face off with the Cleveland Indians. The Indians would get off to an early lead by driving in one run in the bottom of the first only to have the Padres answer back with a run of their own in the second inning. Things would be relatively quiet for both teams in the next couple of innings before the Indians would explode in the fourth.

With three on and no out, Grady Sizemore would hit a grand slam home run to add to the numerous runs in that inning. Although it was the only homer in the game, there were five more runs that would be put on the board by the Indians in that inning. With a solid lead, the Padres would only be able to drive in four more runs as the Indians win the game by a score of ten to five.
