Sox and Tribe tie after ten

Chicago White Sox starter Freddy Garcia would go three innings to start the game against the Cleveland Indians before seven other Sox pitchers would take to the mound for exactly one inning each. Garcia allowed five hits and three runs while striking out three. The Tribe held a 4-2 lead heading into the eighth inning before Jess Todd would allow five hits and a walk that lead to three earned runs in his .2 innings of work.

Indians lead off hitter and center fielder Michael Brantley went 2-for-2 with an RBI and a walk. Five Indians would knock in one run each. Sox second baseman CJ Retherford would hit a 2-run homer as part of the eighth inning surge. Right fielder Carlos Quentin went 2-for-3 and scored a run for the Sox who now stand at 3-3-2 while the Indians still do not have a defeat at 5-0-1.
