Texas Pounds Colorado with 23 Hits

March 11, 2010 by AZ Hardball

Believe it or not, this game was not played in the high altitude confines of Coors Field. With Texas driving in four runs early on, the Rockies would be able to drive in two runs in the first inning to keep the game close. In the third inning Texas bats would drive in five runs to extend their lead by seven runs. Texas would not look back as they would disrespect Colorado pitching and fielding.

In addition to getting hit all over the park, the Colorado defense would have three errors on the game. The Rockies were only able to score one more run before the ninth inning looking at a 13 run deficit. Playing through, the Rockies were able to score two more runs in the bottom of the ninth as Texas beats them by nine runs.
