The Reds Down the Brewers

March 11, 2010 by AZ Hardball

In a game that was highlighted by some solid pitching, the Reds and Brewers would battle in Goodyear. The game would go scoreless through four and a half innings of play. The Brewers would see some steady pitching from Chris Narveson who would pitch three scoreless innings, allowing only one hit while striking out three. Starting pitching for Cincinnati would also fare well as Cueto would have three scoreless innings of his own.

In the bottom of the fifth inning, the Reds would be the first team on the board with their first run of the game. The Brew Crew would answer back with a run of their on in the bottom of the following inning. The Reds would go on to score on run in both the sixth and seventh innings to regain their lead. First baseman Joey Votto would have a homerun for the team in the sixth inning as the Reds went on to win by a score of three to one.
