D-backs win second of split-squad games behind Jackson and LaRoche homers

The Arizona Diamondbacks went 2-for-2 today in the Cactus league beating both the Rangers and this game against division rival Colorado Rockies. Rodrigo Lopez got the start against his former team the Rockies and went three innings allowing two runs on five hits with a walk and three strikeouts. Greg Smith started the game for the Rockies and went four innings allowing two runs on seven hits and a walk.

Tony Abreu started at second base today once again proving his versatility and continued to remain on fire at the plate going 2-for-4 with two batted in. Conner Jackson and Adam LaRoche each added to the offense with homers. Rockies third baseman Ian Stewart went 2-for-3 on the day knocking in one and raising his batting average to .474.
