March 14, 2010 by

San Francisco would send their split squad to Peoria to face the Seattle Mariners. The Giants would get on the board in a hurry as they scored three runs in the first inning of play. By the fourth inning, the Giants would be up by a score of six to nothing. After four scoreless innings, San Francisco pitching would give up their first run in the fifth inning.

The Giants would add a couple more insurance runs in the eighth to extend their lead. In the bottom of the ninth, the Mariners would be able to drive in three more runs making the score eight to four in favor of the Giants. The Giants top the Mariners in Saturday’s spring training matchup.
