D-backs continue to win as Haren shines again

March 15, 2010 by

Arizona Diamondbacks ace Dan Haren out-pitched former CY Young winner Cliff Lee in Tucson. Haren looked sharp again as he pitched four innings allowing one run on four hits and two walks to go with his three strikeouts. Lee did not make it out of the third as he was ejected from the game after throwing over the head of Chris Snyder. Before he received the hook Lee had allowed four runs on six hits.

D-backs outfielder Chris Young recorded his second homer of the spring going 2-for-3 on the day with 4 batted in. Third baseman Mark Reynolds hot off his new contract thanked the team with a 2-for-3 outing with two runs batted in. Mariners DH Mike Sweeney was 3-for-4 on the day. After a slow start to the spring the D-backs have been on fire over the last week.
