Cubs Over Texas

March 16, 2010 by

The Texas Rangers would visit the Cubs in Mesa as the Texas bats were kept quiet for the majority of the game. The Cubs would have themselves a three run third inning and would score again in the seventh inning off of a solo shot by third baseman Jeff Baker.

In the top of the eighth inning, DH Justin Smoak would hit a solo homer to put the lone run on the board for the Rangers as they fall to the Cubs by a score of four to one.
