Colorado Sneaks Up on Cleveland

March 17, 2010 by

The Cleveland Indians who had been enjoying some Cactus League success thus far travelled to Tucson to face the Colorado Rockies. The Indians would take a two run lead in the first inning while both teams pitching staffs went to work on a few scoreless innings. In the bottom of the fifth inning, the Rockies would put their first run on the board.

In the bottom of the sixth, the Rockies would have themselves a decent inning as they were able to drive in four runs. The four runs would give the Rockies the lead for the game as they looked to hang on. In the eighth inning, both teams would drive in a run as the Indians were unable to regain the lead. The Colorado Rockies would win the game by a score of six to three.
