March 17, 2010 by

The Arizona Diamondbacks avoided a two-game losing streak today as they traveled to Tempe and downed the Angels. The D-backs trailed 6-1 heading into the sixth inning but would score one in the sixth, three in the seventh and another one in each the eighth and ninth innings. D-backs stater Ian Kennedy struggled allowing four runs on seven hits and two walks in 3.1 innings.

Justin Upton went 2-for-3 on the day, but it was a quiet two hits as he did not score a run or drive one in. Mark Reynolds did hit his first homer of the spring in the sixth inning and Adam LaRoche continued to look strong going 1-for-3 with his eighth RBI of the spring. LaRoche is now hitting .458 on the spring.
