Big Inning Propels Indians

The Cleveland Indians faced the split-squad of the Oakland Athletics as they brought some heavy lumber to the game. The game would be highlighted by a big second inning for the Texas Rangers as they were able to drive in eight runs in the inning. The Indians would drive in three more runs in the fourth inning making the game eleven to nothing.

The A’s would remain scoreless until the sixth inning when they would be able to drive in two runs. The Athletics would score one more in the seventh and another in the ninth as they were unable to catch up to the Indian’s lead. The Indians would win the game by a score of twelve to four.
