Angels double up Dodgers

March 22, 2010 by

The Los Angeles Angels downed their cross-town rivals today by a score of 4-2 behind 4 shutout innings by the bullpen. The Dodgers were able to tag Angels starter Joe Saunder for one run in the fourth inning and one run in the fifth, but that would be all. Dodger starter Carlos Monasterios is trying to land a spot as the number five starter and did not perform well today going four innings of dive hit three run ball including a homer.

Angels DH Jeff Mathis would lead the Angels to a win at the plate going 1-for-3 but knocked in three runs.  The Dodgers scored in one in the fourth and one in the fifth off the bats of Garrett Anderson and Casey Blake.
