Rockies pound Reds 9-1

Colorado Rockies starter Jorge De La Rosa continued his hot spring going 5.1 innings allowing only one run on three hits and a walk while striking out five. The solo run came in the first inning off the bat off Reds center fielder Drew Stubbs. The four relievers in the Rockies bullpen would allow only two more hits the rest of the way. Reds starter Bronson Arroyo lasted five innings allowing three runs on four hits.

Three of the Rockies ten hits on the day were homers. Second baseman Clint Barnes would hit one and first baseman Brad Eldred had two homers on the day with three RBIs.
