D-backs Trail Early and Downed by Cubs

March 25, 2010 by

Arizona pitcher Dan Haren would get the loss as he would be hit pretty badly in the first two innings of play. Dan would have seven earned runs in the first two innings before being pulled out of the game in the fourth inning. Haren would be able to notch three strikeouts in his appearance.

The Diamondbacks would score once in the first inning and again in the sixth as they were unable to come back from the seven run deficit to beat the Chicago Cubs. Cubs pitching would throw a combined eight scoreless innings as they struck out a combined total of five batters. On a positive note for the D-backs, Conor Jackson would launch his third homer of the spring. The Cubs beat the D-backs by a score of seven to two.
