Rangers win off bat of Cruz

Texas Rangers starter Matt Harrison lasted seven innings against the Colorado Rockies and moved to 2-0 on the spring. Harrison allowed six runs on sis hits and three walks while striking out five. for the spring and allowed six runs, five earned. Jason Hammel got the start for the Rockies and lasted five innings allowing five runs on eight hits and two walks.

Rockies third baseman Ian Stewart hit his first home run of the spring in the second inning. Rangers Michael Young continued to crank out hits going 2-for-3 with two runs scored and raised his spring average to .440.  The star of the day offensively though was right fielder Nelson Cruz who went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBIs including a homer.
