San Diego Blanks the Giants in Scottsdale

March 29, 2010 by

The San Diego Padres would put a damper on the Giants’ home field advantage as they travel to Scottsdale and make a statement. The Padres would get on the board early with two runs in the first inning. A four run fourth by the Padres would add insult to injury as they scored one more insurance run in the sixth.

San Diego Pitching was able to hold the Giants to no runs but would only strike out a total of four batters in the game. The Giants would combine for seven strikeouts but would give up seven runs as they lose the game by a score of seven to nothing.
