Helton’s Homer the Demise of the Dodgers

March 30, 2010 by

The Dodgers traveled to Tucson to face the Colorado Rockies as the Rockies would get off to an early start. Todd Helton would hit a two-run blast in the first inning to give the Rockies the lead for the game. In the third inning, Colorado would drive in one more run which would prove to be enough to hold off the Dodgers for the game.

In the eighth inning, the Dodgers would be able to drive in their first run of the game as they were shutout in the previous innings. Pitcher Greg Smith of the Rockies would earn the win as he pitched four innings with four strikeouts. The Dodgers would lose by a score of three to one.
