Leake picksup first win as Reds down A’s

Former ASU standout pitcher Mike Leake made a statement today allowing two runs on four hits in six innings of work picking up his first win as the Cincinnati Reds downed the Oakland Athletics 8-3. Dallas Braden started for the A’s and allowed seven funs on 12 hits in 5.1 innings.

Travis Buck, Leake’s former teammate at ASU hit his fourth homer of the spring off his Sundevil friend and was 2-for-4 on the day. Scott Rolen knocked in three runs on the day for the Reds as did Drew Stubbs. Both stubs and Laynce Nix hit a homer for the Reds.
