Martinez Powers Tribe Past the Padres

Milwaukee Beats Oakland in Phoenix

At Phoenix Municipal Stadium, the Brewers defeated the A’s by a score of eight to five. Brewers catcher Angel Salome belted one home run and contributed two RBIs in the Brewers’ win over the Oakland Athletics as the A’s lose their second in a row. Oakland has yet to win a game early on and the Brew Crew have an even record with one win and a loss.

Seattle Hammers the Dodgers

In Peoria, the Dodgers fell to the Seattle Mariners by a score of 18 to 2. A two run shot by Mitch Jones were the only runs contributed by the Dodgers as three Mariners nail home runs of their own in an offensive display that left the Dodgers with a loss in Peoria.

Randy Johnson Takes a Loss in Spring Debut

The Big Unit struck out two in two innings of pitching with one earned run in San Francisco’s loss at Scottsdale Stadium to the Kansas City Royals. Both the Royals and the Giants had one home run a piece in the nine inning match up. The Royals’ three run sixth inning of play put the team in the lead to win the game by a score of six to one.
