The Arizona Diamondbacks would face Tim Lincecum and the San Francisco Giants after a large victory the night before. The Giants would begin with the lead after scoring one run in the first inning of play. Lincecum would have a no hitter through three innings that would be broken up by Stephen Drew. The Arizona Diamondbacks would come off of a tough loss against one of the better teams in the Majors from a day prior. In Sunday’s game, the score would be in Philadelphia’s favor at the beginning of the game. The Phillies would score two runs in the first inning and carry the lead through to the fifth where they would add one more run to the score, leading the D-backs by a score of three to nothing. Kennedy Pitches Well in Loss to Phillies

Ian Kennedy would be looking for his first win as a Diamondback as he pitched Saturday night against the Phillies in game two of a three game series. The Phillies would start off with the lead as a result of scoring one run in the second inning. The run would come as a homer to Jayson Werth. It was not until the fifth inning that the D-backs were able to drive in any runs as Kelly Johnson would hit a two-run homer for his sixth of the season. The Phillies are a solid contender in the National League East and would face the D-backs in what would seem to be an uneven matchup on paper. Jackson Pitches Well as Bullpen Drops Game

Edwin Jackson would face Chris Carpenter and the St. Louis Cardinals. The Cardinals would score some runs early on with three runs crossing the plate. Two of the first inning runs of the Cardinals would come as a result of home run from Colby Rasmus and one more run would score to give the Cardinals a three to nothing lead.
