Diamondbacks 2010 Fan Fest

The 6th annual Diamondbacks Fan Fest will be here before you know it. On Saturday, February 13th Chase Field will be open to the public with free admission to all of the fans. Previous year’s Fan Fests have been a huge hit with baseball addicts as they have had the opportunity to meet players up close and personal. The D-backs will be back in town gearing up for Spring Training making their first stop their most important one to pay tribute to their fans.

At the event, you will be able to take part in autograph sessions, clubhouse tours and Wiffle Ball for the kids with some of their favorite players. There will also be kid zones and a sports card memorabilia trading show on the field. Fox Sports Arizona and KTAR 620 will be broadcasting from the event as well. Coaches, players, alumni, broadcasters and team management are all expected to be present at the event.

Last year we had the opportunity to shake hands with team President Derrick Hall and get up close to many of the players. This is definitely not an experience that you want to miss. So get there however you can. The event will take place from 10am – 5pm. Remember, the Light Rail stops near the park, so grab your kids and your friends and join us.

D-backs Fifth Annual Fan Fest

Saturday, February 7th will be another day where the Arizona Diamondbacks will be saying thank you to their fans. Without having to worry about getting tackled by the security staff, walk on the field and check out the clubhouse. This is the first time that the fans will be allowed on the field and is a pretty exciting opportunity.

In addition, your D-backs plan on being at the event including Dan Haren, Connor Jackson, Stephen Drew, Justin Upton, Chris Young and more. Also, you will have the chance to meet D-backs Alumni including Jay Bell.

There will also be plenty of other opportunities that will make this event a “must visit” for any die-hard fan. Some of the other activities include baseball skills centers, baseball card shows, a silent auction, autograph sessions, photograph sessions and clubhouse tours! Chase Field Out of Sunflower Seeds!

On Sunday, August 31st, the unthinkable happened at Chase Field Concessions… Sunflower Seeds were 86′ed! There were no seeds, only peanuts, to be found in the neighboring concessions. Trips to the concession stands on the other side of the stadium floor, were not fruitful. Upon arrival, we were told that the entire ballpark was out of sunflower seeds.

The ballpark remained out of seeds for the Labor Day game against the Cardinals.

Stadium representatives did not comment on the cause of the shortage but, do expect more seeds for the next Diamondbacks’ home stand.
