Jackson went six innings allowing five hits and shutting out the Chicgao White Sox. Former Sox closer Bob Howry would follow Jackson and also keep his old team scoreless through seven. Sox starter Freddie Garcia was torched for seven runs on 11 hits in five innings.

Diamondback utility infielder Tony Abreu is trying to make the team, and if you consider the spring he has had it is will be hard to keep him off. Abreu started at second today and went 3-for-5 with a run scored and five RBIs, which gives him 14 total on the spring. Justin Upton was 1-for-4 on the day but made his one count with a three run homer off Garcia.
