Blanks’ Sixth Inning Blast Gives Padres the Edge

The Angels would start off the game at Angel Stadium on the right foot as they were able to score the first run of the game for the team. The Padres would answer back in the following inning with a run of their own. In the fourth inning, the Padres would score one run to take the lead of the game. Angels down Indians in 9th

Matt Palmer got the start for the Los Angeles Angels against the Cleveland Indians, but it was Trevor Reckling who got the majority of the work and the win going the last five innings and allowing two runs n five hits and a walk. Aaron Laffey took the mound for the Indians to start and allowed three runs on five hits in three innings.

Indians Shin-Soo Choo started in right field and went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and an RBI. He was later replaced by Brian Horwitz who went 2-for-2 with a run scored. Angels leadoff hitter and left fielder Bradley Coon went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored. Center fielder Mike Trout went 2-for-4 with an RBI and three runs scored.

The Los Angeles Angels would score two runs as they opened the game against the Chicago Cubs in Mesa. The Angels would be able to score two more runs in the fourth inning as they increase their lead to four over the Cubs. In the last four frames of the game, the Angels would drive in seven more runs as they shut out the Cubs by a score of eleven to nothing. Read more

Angels and White Sox Tie it at Sevens

The White Sox and Angels would play ball in Glendale as Chicago would open up the game with two runs in the first inning of play. In the third inning, the White Sox would have a big inning as they were able to score five more runs on the game. For the White Sox pitcher John Danks would go five and two-thirds innings, striking out a total of seven batters while going scoreless for the first five innings. Pineiro and Aybar lead Angels to win

The Los Angeles Angels cruised through the Cactus League last spring, but this year have fallen flat as they entered the game today with only eight wins. Today they picked up their ninth and Joel Pineiro moved to 3-0 with his victory over the Kansas City Royals. Pineiro lasted 6.2 innings allowing only one run on two hits and two walks. The Royals started Kyle Farnsworth who pitched two scoreless innings allowing only one hit.

The Angels leadoff hitter Erick Aybar was a perfect 4-for-4 on the day scoreing once and knocking in two. Third baseman Brandon Wood was 1-for-2 with a walk and scored three times with another two knocked in. The Angels moved to 9-14-2 on the spring while the Royals fell to 12-11-3.
